The Most Common Disciplinary Problems in Schools

In this article, as an educator, I will talk about the most common undisciplined behaviors in schools and the reasons behind these behaviors. Schools are official institutions established to instill good behavior in children. In this challenging process, students may want to exhibit undesirable behaviors they have acquired from other social environments before coming to school. In this case, undesirable disciplinary problems arise at school. We can examine the disciplinary problems that emerge in schools under the following headings.

GIVING NICKNAMES

The most problematic undisciplined behavior seen in schools is giving nicknames. The purpose of giving a nickname is to belittle the other person's personality and elevate one's own. When a student gives a nickname and the people around them laugh, the behavior of giving nicknames is reinforced because the student thinks they are doing something good. The laughter of the surrounding people indicates that this behavior is correct and that the environment approves of it.

THEFT

When a student sees something they don't own in a friend, they may harbor jealousy towards them. They will do everything they can to possess whatever they are jealous of. The easiest way to obtain it is through theft. If this behavior of the student is not corrected, theft will escalate to much larger dimensions in the future. If a student is bored with a lesson, they may want to skip that lesson. If a student talks too much in class, it indicates that the student is bored with that lesson. In this case, the teacher needs to change their teaching methods and techniques. The student's participation in the lesson needs to be ensured.
